ART HISTORY neXt questions the notions of inclusion and exclusion within the historical cannon of fine art. These works consider who gets chronicled in the annals of art history by reflecting on and creating a dialogue with prominent artists, whose self-portraits challenged the conventions of their day and in turn ushered in new ways to consider both art and novel artistic conceptions.
